I Heart Christmas – Lindsey Kelk

I Heart Christmas - Lindsey Kelk

In the last instalment of the I Heart series (hopefully just until Ms Kelk writes the next one), we see Angela Clarke now married to the beautiful and talented Alex Reid. She has a new job working at Gloss magazine but an old enemy not being far away is in Angelas eyes, going to make things extremely difficult. On top of that, she has to deal with her parents coming over to celebrate Christmas with her and their new son-in-law Alex (lush), as well as a surprise visit from her bestie Louisa and baby Grace.

All Angela wanted to do for Christmas was have a few days off where she could snuggle with Alex and watch cheesy Christmas films and veg out on the settee. As she soon finds out, best laid plans never happen.

She also has to deal with her other best friend Jenny Lopez and the sudden baby craze that Jenny seems to have gone on. Alex spending time around babies and baby talk, only makes him want a family even more but does Angela feel the same ?

I can’t explain the emotion I feel after reading this book. As with all the books in the I Heart series, I fell totally in love this book from page one. I fell even more in love with Angelas character, knowing how much she loves Christmas (definitely must be an Angie thing) even more than what I have done in the past. As per usual, will somebody please tell me where I can get an Alex Reid, the worlds most amazing boyfriend, not to mention the lead in a famous band.

The thing I liked the most about this book was the fact that it revolved more around Angela’s career and friends rather than her relationship with Alex. For once, she has managed to behave herself in the romance dept (maybe because of the trouble she was finding herself in the other aspects of her life) and Alex comes to the rescue and shows that he really understands her without her having to say anything (now there’s a soul mate if ever there was one).

I feel so happy to say i’ve read the whole series now but at the same time, I am soooooooo gutted that there isn’t another in the series. The ending does lead you to believe that there could be another story, but for now I am looking forward to getting my hands on Jenny Lopez has a bad week and see what mischief the other character get up to. Fully recommend this book if you have been following the I Heart series, but also if you haven’t Lindsey Kelk has a way of pulling in readers and having them laughing out loud throughout the book. By far my most favourite author of all time….

I would give this book 5/5 stars and only because it is impossible to give it more.
