To The Moon And Back by Jill Mansell

Jill Mansell

Ellie Kendall moves to North London to start a new life after tragically losing her husband, and agrees to help look after Tony Weston’s (her father-in-law and famous actor) pied-de-terre, and starts a new job as a PA working for Zack McLaren. This is a good move her, after all she isn’t interested in meeting anyone new because she has a special someone to keep her company. She also meets a neighbour called Roo, who she knows from somewhere but can’t quite put her finger on it. When she does, they end up becoming the best of friends and Ellie helps Roo to overcome some issues she’s been having.

All I can say, AMAZING !!!!!

I couldn’t put this book down from the moment I started reading it. It took me three days which is  record time for me and a paperback.

With most stories, I find that I am attracted to one character more than any of the others, but with this story, it just wasn’t the case. I loved every single character including Louisa (Zack’s girlfriend) and Niall (the lieing cheat of the story). I wanted to cry in parts, at the heartbreak that Ellie and Tony experienced, I felt sorry for the pitiful Niall and smiled for most of the book at how lovely Zack could be, the perfect man if ever there was one.

This is a lovely light-hearted read that reminded me why I love chick lit so much and I can’t wait to read more of Jill Mansell, she has officially made it to my top three authors, I just hope my library has a large selection of her work.

I give this book a 10/10
