Cats and Hospitals

Did you know: Cats sleep 16-18 hours a day (maybe I was a cat in a previous life)

So how are all my lovelies doing ? I was stuck watching the football (even though the other half isn’t here) so thought I would use the time wisely and give you all a little piece of me to read.

What have I been up to??? Nothing much, still can’t drive yet (my poor Cookie has forgotten who his owner is). So I decided to use the time wisely and get some book reviews in and push this blog a bit (if the folks ask, I have been working solidly on my qualifications – honest mum and dad I have).Feeling really happy and confident about this whole blog and book reviewing business and have to say I have met some lovely people including Kathryn Player (excellent book and I’m extremely proud of my review), also Tracie Banister has been chatting with me on Twitter which is lovely to know that their are so many nice people out there that want to give me the time of day so thank you.

Sorry, I know that was sounding a bit whiny but when you had the life that I have had, it’s nice to know that there is genuinely decent people out there and they all seem to be taking a little walk into my life.

Still haven’t got pics loaded up onto here yet but I plan to try and get a little gallery going tomorrow for you with photos of my favourite things in life (there is a lot), hopefully it will give you an insight into the world of Angie, it is a loving and crazy place (that just sounded like a 70’s hippy statement in my head).

What else have I been up to, well I am currently reading The Surgeon by Tess Gerritsen. It’s been a while since I’ve read any of her stuff and I forgot how gruesome and scary it can be. Weird for me because I can’t even watch Casualty or Holby City without going “eeeewwwwww” and you don’t even see anything, so to read a book that has yucky bits in is strange but at the same time, I love her books. I read it pretending to know what all the medical terms are but lets face it, you could say the patient is hyperchocahologram and I would think its a cool medical thing. I did make the mistake of reading it before I went to sleep and found myself with my head buried deep under the covers this morning (yes I’m a chicken but I never learn)

Talking of hospitals, many of friends and family know how much I hate needles (definitely could never be a druggie) and I had to go for some blood tests yesterday, needless (oh that has the word needles in it #Angie-ism) to say it didn’t go well. By the time I got home, I felt like a drunk person sitting on the hospital car park floor (where’s Dr McDreamy – Greys Anatomy when you need him) That’s another weird thing, I love Greys Anatomy but that’s set in a hospital (I know, I am weird). I can also watch Bones and Body of Proof which can be quite icky in some parts, I’m definitely a strange one.

I can’t remember if I told you but I applied to be part of a book reviewing club and hopefully get to work on their website but sadly I received an email saying I’d been unsuccessful – don’t worry though, I think I have plenty of book reviews and blogging of my own to keep me busy, hopefully all you guys will keep me busy, send me a message once in a while and make sure I aren’t in a corner rocking. I am also close to having all my questions ready for you authors and readers to answer so feel free to let me know if you wish to be part of it. I was hoping to add one interview a month from an author and a reader. I thought it would be a good idea if I done the interview first, after all a good chef doesn’t allow his customers to eat his food without testing it out first.

Keep your eyes peeled for my interview coming soon, off to finish the questions now (determined not to read The Surgeon – I need to sleep)

Sweet dreams all
