Hello World

So I thought I’d try this whole blogging thing but I have to be honest it completely baffles me, so instead I have decided to write (or rather type) my own little journal. Mainly because I have so much I want to talk about (all these blogging help sites keep going on about how you should write about one specific topic – well no thank you). I guess I should tell you a little more about myself and paint a better picture, so let’s call this journal entry “The Introduction”.

At 30 years old, I would like to say that I have been through so many life changing experiences and that I have many a wise word to tell, but let’s face it – that’s what tv is for, to live out our dream lives and keep that secret fantasy world alive. Yes I am a dreamer and have been ever since I was a little girl who discovered that Merlin had lost his teapot in a cave somewhere in Cornwall (so my dad reminds me occasionally) but that is a story for another time.

How did this whole blog (or should I say journal) come about???? Simple really, I enjoy socialising and having conversations, not in the kind of “I like the sound of my own voice kind of way” but I find myself lost in thought and talking to myself (in my head obviously, unless I’m at home where nobody can hear me) and thought why not write all this down for others to see and discuss. I also wanted to write a blog since all my favourite people do it, whom I will tell you about in my next installation. I wanted to write a blog about my favourite hobby – which would be reading but I also love tv and cinema and music, so you can see my dilemma – hence my creative journal.

You’ve probably guessed by now, I would like to share my views on the books I read and films I watch (although at the moment it is TV series with a lot of Sky catch up on the go), as well as my music although I don’t tend to listen to much of that anymore since buying my own house – long gone are the days of standing in front of the mirror with a hairbrush. Since reading and TV are my life, it seemed only fitting to write about my life alongside my “mini” reviews. In some ways I feel that I can sometimes relate to the stories and I suppose that’s what makes it a good read for me.

Anyway, I think I’ve written enough for my first blog. Plenty more to follow but for now it’s the land of stars for me.

Goodnight all and happy dreaming
